French QWERTY is available

Well, here it is. We got a lot of feedback from French-speaking Canadian users that they use QWERTY layout rather than AZERTY. So now you can use the QWERTY layout for French language.

If you have already installed TouchPal Professional, please just go here and download the French (QWERTY) language pack, and then install on your device. You will need a restart after installation.

For the Standard users, you may select "French (QWERTY)" from the dropdown list in the download page.

Special thanks to Eric Cardinal who volunteered to help with the French QWERTY testing, and all those who provided help and support!

You have no idea how impressed I am with the quality of your service. I just tried the French Qwerty keyboard and it works like a charm. When Palm first released their folding keyboard we had to beg, scream, threaten and bribe to no avail to get a French Qwerty driver for their keyboard. It is no surprise to see that Palm's future does not seem promising these days.

In contrast, there is a well known outfit that sells folding keyboards, for those occasions where a full size keyboard is desirable. They still don't have drivers for WM 6. They don't reply to their emails and adding insults to injury they spam those who write to them. I know because I used a one-of-a-kind disposable email address when I tried to contact them. Weeks later some "other" company tried to direct me to their site.

TouchPal is simply fantastic and I never miss an opportunity to promote it. This said, there is a need for a quality folding keyboard for Windows device, so I hope you guys consider marketing such a product someday.

Hi everyone.

I found this place during a search for the origin of a French QWERTY keyboard on this powerbook I recently bought.

I am a Brit and [altho my fingers tend to know their own way around - at least they seem to be managing this OK :o)] I have now bought a new top case to replace the French one.

That was the easy bit.

The more challenging part is finding that special person out there who has a 1.67 low-res G4 powerbook simply gasping for a standard French keyboard with QWERTY letter layout.

I would really appreciate some help with this question, as this is the only place I have even found a mention that such an animal might even exist.

Happy New Year to you all.

QWERTY

Technological innovation is overwhelming these days. QWERTY is now being applied on cellular phones to allow faster typing. It is the standard layout for a lot of Roman alphabet computer keyboards, although they mostly pertain to English language countries. At any rate, cell phone keypads are starting to head that way. Phones that featured the QWERTY keypad (look over at the Q, and proceed to the right) used to require an online cash advance to get, but now they are becoming commonplace. In the era of text messaging, demand is for full service keypads instead of numerical (regular phone) keypads. If you're more of a mobile e-mail and text message person, you might look into an online cash advance for a QWERTY phone.
